Very interesting beads. Flat squares with cross hatches on the front. Like tiny little tic tac toe boards. Or hashtags. The hole goes across one point diagonally. So perhaps these are diamond shaped instead of square.

The shade of red fluctuates on these, sometimes more pink or brown.

These are vintage plastic beads which were made in West Germany and have been in a warehouse for many years waiting for their time to shine.
